welder having its time of the month

hi all, gt back in the shed today and arced up and it welded beautifully im reconing that it is the bad connection between the earth lead and clamp as the bared bit of the wire was REALLY hot even after abut 10 seconds of welding.

Did you screw in the tip all the way now?

nit at first and it didnt make a blind bit a difference but i did it anyway and cut shr0ud dwn and its fine !!!
