hi im going to be in the market for a new mig set . my current sealy 160 turbo has just given up the ghost after about 14 years of my home diy + car body and heavier gate fabrication use .
at work i also use a new nexus 200 amp welder for smaller stuff and a bigger 400 amp for the heavier stuff . been looking at the portamig 185 for a home buy , from what i see comes in at about £550 ish . the nexus (made in germany ) which is a 200 amp set i can get for £400 . Does the portamig make that much of a differance with its power smoothing device and the extra cost ? im always aware you get what you pay for and dont mind spending the extra for it . All help on this matter would be gratefull . cheers steve

Who told you that? They can't make a 200amp MIG in Germany for that kinda money. Nexus are re-badged Thermal Arc...made in Malaysia & some of their larger models are re-badged Kemppi sets
