Welder advice needed.

A mate bought this welder a while back.

He seems happy with it.
I went to visit today and we wondered what the controls were.
he says left hand knob is wire speed, makes sense to me.
Top right he says is 'Power'?????
Did not have my specs with me and it was a fleeting visit. looking at the the photo is it burn bacK control for wire stick out?
Bottom right looks to me like the power settings, says he has never touched it.
Any ideas appreciated

I will give him a shout over the next few days.
I suggested playing about with the settings and keeping notes.
He seemed a bit unsure of that idea, but is making some great stuff.
I think I have to go and spend an afternoon with him doing some setting up.

It's a Cebora Autostar 180, top left is wire feed, top right is spot timer, bottom right is power.

I do the same most of the time. I adjust my speed, it's a lot easier than fannying about with the dials every 5 minutes

I hardly ever change the power, I think it is something you learn to work around.
From what he says it works on these settings when he bought it and has not needed to fiddle.
Me? I would fiddle immediately and get confused. Most of what he is doing is made up of small components fitted together using small pips of weld so he probably has not even noticed the spot timer operating.
I might pop over next week and have a cider with him and play with his toy.
Trying to get him to join up here but he does not think people would be interested in his sculptures. if ok's it I will post a couple of images of his work.

Is he the guy who made that chicken from the old motorbike headlight - The one that was sat on your bench at the Hereford Art Week last year?
