didnt see an obvious category to ask this question,so move if in wrong place....

need to buy some mig wire,and everyone says buy Lincoln off weldequip.
price is very reasonable,but shipping is extortionate!
£30 for 5kg's to Ireland????my 30kg welder cost £16.99!

i have heard all the good reports about quality of service etc,but theres no way im paying that.

a quick google,the first shop that comes up quotes around half that.

i want to know what others are doing,cos im not giving anyone an extra 15 quid just for being a nice guy

Are you comparing like with like? For example a next-day service will be more expensive than a 10 day service.

my local BOC does lincoln at the same price ....so have a look around in Cork and see what there is otherwise your justy going to have to pay "international" shipping
