First post, so hello everyone, and I’m hoping the collective can help me out.
I bought this in 2015 I think, using it to do a restoration of my VW T25. Working fine until yesterday, when after completing one bit of welding I turned it on again for some more, but nothing happened. I run it off a generator as I’ve no power where the van is stored, so brought the welder back home to check in more comfort.
When I turn it on the fan starts, but depressing the trigger results in no wire feed or arc, no clicks from solenoids or relays. The thermal cut-out light is not illuminated. The wire feed motor works when 12v is applied from a car battery.
My electrical expertise is minimal, but I’ve established that the trigger microswitch seems to work (tested with a multi-meter when one connection wire was unplugged from the PCB).
I think the selector switch seems to do what it should, but following the diagram for it stretches my electrical capabilities.
Any advice out there? Photos below, if I can get them up.
