Weld wire keeps goin curly

Hey folks, My welder is doin my head in at the mo, Im just trying to do some simple welding to some angle iron but evertime i start welding the wire comes out of the torch in waves as if its getting hot and starting to curl, this is causing the wire feed to struggle and slowing wire down??
I have had a look and it is curling from feeder/Gas input to the torch?!?!

Any ideas?

Could you give us a bit more info, especially the make of wire and its thickness.

Also what welder do you have?

I have no idea of the make of wire, Its 0.8mm and im using a sealy supermig 185!
It was welding really nice but i seemed to have upset it some how!

Blocked torch liner and/or tip will cause the wire to birdsnest before it enters the liner, birdsnesting also means that you have the tensioner set too tight, in the event of a burnback the rollers should slip on the wire, not keep driving it.
Not saying that is your only problem but until you get it to feed properly you won't really know if there is anything else wrong.
What's the condition of the wire by the way? Is it old and rusty? If so then strip off the layers until you get to nice shiny stuff or if you don't get to nice shiny stuff then bin it and fit a new reel. Even slightly rusty wire will block the tip and liner in no time.

Yep sounds like too much pressure on the feed roller. My lad always does that, wire comes out like wavy.

Sounds to me like rollers are a bit tight. If thats curling the wire, that will likely be your causing the incosistant feed.

Also are you trying to feed .8mm wire with the .6mm groove? That could squeeze the wire.
