I have a weld test on Tuesday on some sched 10 and 40 pipe.
I have done plenty of dairy pipe (full purge) but done very little sched pipe.
I presume the sched 10 will be purged and am thinking a small bevel,no gap, autogenious first pass then cap with 1.6mm filler ?
Is the carbon pipe likely to need purging as well ? I have seen it done with 309 filler tacked at 12,3,6 and 9 o,clock then file back the tacks then fill and cap? is there a limit to the amount of cap runs you can do ?
It is for a Lloyds coding btw.
Any advice appreciated.
