Hello I have a Clarke 145 turbo mig welder using 0.8 solid wire and co2. I just can't seem to get a good weld going tried to weld a sill and had to spot weld the whole thing rather than run a nice seem weld. I have min and max with 1-2 setting on my welder tried changing the settings no luck. Tried to alter wire speed to can anyone help?

I think that machine has a minimum 35 amp setting which depending on your skill can be a bit of a challenge on thin metal, even for an experienced person.
That's the reason the thin metal technique is show in the tutorials, to help avoid what you are experiencing., if followed it can leave a decent looking weld.
If the weld area allows you to get behind it you could use a heat sink, copper is by far the best, even some copper water pipe well flattened, you can sometimes get away with any heavy lump of metal that will absorb some of the heat, be careful you don't weld to it though if using mild steel.

I just want the weld to seam lik so I can get a bead going

0.6mm wire, set on min/1, do a series of touching spot welds leaving a second between each one to let the red glow die to deep cherry before welding the next spot.
You will end up with a good looking seam weld with the stacked coin look.
