Hi Guys,
Been reading alot of the site over the last few days so decided to register and say hi! I am from Perth in Western Australia and am trying to fit a welding hobby in with my photography hobby, my car obsession and of course, full time work! I did a Tafe welding course over 6 nights at the start of the year and then borrowed a 40 year old arc machine that was permanently stuck on 130a before buying my Unimig 190 in the last couple of weeks. My main reason for learning to weld is i have a 1988 Suzuki Sierra that i want to make all of the hardware for to go 4WDing and when ive cut my teeth on that, I have a 1973 Ford Falcon that i intend to restore
Unfortunately the Tafe course was held back quite far by a couple of people that couldnt get the hang of the basic stuff, so i didnt actually get to use a Mig and have been trying to apply what i learnt of arc welding to using the Mig. It would be great if you can take a look at my beads on my still-in-construction mig cart and let me know if i need to change anything!
Cheers,
Michael
