It's all in preparation for me building a off road looney buggy.
I've been making tables and silly robots and things so far.brought about half a tonne of mild steel tube square sheet etc to practice on most is 4mm and under.
Machine max amps I thinks 250 not sure on voltage it's esab c251 my other mig is same amps a butters amt 241 but only has 6 voltage steps

half a tonne for practice f me side ways it sounds like u got the power for 3mm easy only thing i can give advise on is where it needs to be structure make sure u got pen and a little high build up id say is better then undercut for sheet metal non structure as long as its got pen then grinding flush should be good

I say practice but...after 2 sheets of runs and buying another mig I started to make stuff pretty fast.used a full size bottle in those few months :-)
Had the wobbles sickness a few times though,I dont to galvanised any more :-)
Tbh I got most of my info about learning and what to buy from lurking on here :-)
