Weird fault on Pug 308

Just wondering if any of the brilliant minds on here have any idea what's going on with my 308 Peugeot. The "anti pollution system faulty" warning comes on and I've read and cleared the codes which usually relate to the cam position sensor ( which has been replaced ). The weird thing is that when I fill up with petrol, taking it to just over half a tank, the "check warning lights" go out and don't come back on unless I've got less than a quarter tank left. The obvious thing is to keep it filled up but I'm curious as to what's causing it?

It’s likely the evap system. Lots of you tube vids etc on how to fault find.

leaky petrol cap is usually the first thing to check.

Anti pollution system.
1.6hdi there is a separate tank which needs filling up at circa 80k miles.

Evil evil fluid and needs to be removed to do it. (Name of the fluid will come to me at some point)
