Not really. I'm no green hippy or anything like that but it does get to a point where people need to think about product disposal etc. If you've ever been to the Eden project, there's a sculpture there made out of just some of the electrical equipment the average person throws out in a lifetime. Its massive. it's actually a good way of showing how wasteful the throw away lifestyle we have is. Picture below (not my picture)
Weee is potentially useful legislation. ............The re-use part of the legislation is engouraging though. Glad the beurocrats have cottoned onto the possibility. Most of the people who pick up a welder on this forum have that intention.![]()

So why do people in places like Brussels have to tell us what we should know by now to save the planet and the wild life that lives on it with us![]()

I agree, When we extended our kitchen I managed to get a stainless steel Smeg Dishwasher (£450 worth!) that was being freecycled due to a small leak. I ended up replacing the pump for £30. The chap that I got it from reckoned that it was far superior to the replacement they had bought!I reckon someone setting up home for the first time could get everything they need off Freecycle, with a little patience.
