hi whats the best permanent weedkiller for brambles. i aleady use roundup . not bothered if its not environmentally friendly
We had a Briar growing through a panel from nextdoors jungle. I made up a solution in a 5litre plastic container trained the Briar into it. Within a fournight not had it killed the leader but everything in his garden had started to die back. I lost the dogs ball over there last week, its been 3yrs since I killed off the Briar and still no sign of it coming back. Still a jungle just no briar (Brilliant on Horse Tail as well)For the nth time Ammonium Sulphamate. It kills the root.
never saw any of the posts or i wouldnt have asked if i had where do you get it from and can it be sprayed onFor the nth time Ammonium Sulphamate. It kills the root.
The most effective way to clear larger areas of bramble is to power rake it off with an excavator into a big heap and burn it, follow up with spraying off any regen.
Bob
hogweed is rife round ourway it grows to about 8 foot tall and coveres all of the riverbank .its even growing on the railway viaductSlash and burn then spray the re growth...
I have just about finished my fourteen year long battle with Knotweed behind my workshop. Brambles are easy to eradicate.
Japanese Knotweed - Hedge Binweed - Giant Hogweed are a differing ball game.

All you've done is **** it off. It will come back with a vengenceI started on two big patches of knotweed last year, Glyphosate’d the poo out of it 3 times, no new growth yet this year but I think that may just be down to all the frosts we’ve had.
