Whilst continuing my quest to obtain small scale equipment, (To fit the available space) for a fraction of it's real worth, (I don't have the justification to spend realistic amounts of cash for the amount of use the kit will get) I came across a Webster and Bennet vertical mill. (Or is it a Vertical Borer?)
It doesn't appear very big (Smaller footprint than a Bridgeport by the look of it) which appealed - and it's only £250 with a bucket of tooling - which was the other big attraction.
But I can find hardly any information on them. The company now seem to specialise in Mahoosive stuff - where the bed turns, but this is more what I think of as a mill - motor up top, with a fixed height quill.
It's already in bits for transport (Big warning signs should be flashing in my head)
Are these things any good, or not? Any idea?
