Same here really, a username I used on Medal of Honor AA to play online (Stalingrad, what a level!), recycled on forums and here I am today. Midtown Madness, there's a blast from the past.

Quake II cod4 bf3 etqw and borderlands were my most played. L4d as a clan was quality too. Curently playing Richard burns rally. Old and not pretty but by far the best physics of a rally game going. Ridiculously hard to be fast.

I could only play Bf2, computer wasn't good enough. Saying that, it opened me to so many good games that weren't just all about specs. Farcry (the first one before it went stupid) is very hard and contributed to a few nightmares. Tom Clancy Rainbow Six Raven Shield is another very good game, very simple but a HUGE selection of weapons and scenarios and maps.

Its about being at the top of the page and without ad words etc your going to struggle. Perhaps if you sell priced items it's a must. For me it's been largely a waste of time

Marketing gurus tell me I need a landing page from my social media - I say stuff that if they are interested I. What I offer I want a phone call or message direct from where they are at!

That said this year I will do it again but only because I will likely be dropping yell. Com and they will do me a deal earlier to drop my adverts with them for equal spend on a website.

I have a website for work. Most of my (one man band) output goes overseas, so internet is important.
I battled for ages to try and get an online cart up and running, and, in the end, gave up, and swapped some work for someone to do me one. Its been of huge benefit to me.

I should do more facehook twitter etc. but i kind of dont know where to start with that.

I would say, unless youre selling shippable product, a simple website to give you online presence is worth while. It costs nothing, or close to it, and gives you that bit extra.

This is all done in wordpress, but only as i, at the time, thought the wordpress cart was the simplest. Id probably go with anther option if i did it again.
Prior to wordpress, i wrote the same site (same mousovers etc) in html and java with notepad. I specifically did not want the site to look like "another" wordpress site, which is very much the danger with wordpress. In hindsight, id probably use zen cart.


Again, for the cost of a site, i dont really see why everyone does not have one. Internet is everywhere now. I even have a website for my oil collecting (biodiesel) - people see the site, and call me to take their oil for my car. I never have to ask anyone any more - they ask me instead.
