Why do we need a new name for bad weather, its Britain, its winter, its wet and windy, nothing unusual but the media have decided its a weatherbomb

I heard a weather-man being interview on radio today, and he said that they'd been using the expression 'in the trade' for years - seems the media have seized on it to make it sound more dramatic, although it's been pretty wild here today...never really got light. Great thunder and lightening though.

TV really is crap. it's 95% adverts, realy crap programs / films or repeats of really crap programs / films. 4.9 % programs/films that that would have been intresting if hadnt allready seen. 0.1% stuff worth watching ( that i'll watch online anyway)
