I vaguely remember @Woody.v8 replacing the wear pads on his hiab, and I think he might have made the new ones himself.

I did mine a few years ago now out of oilon sheet, it's been fine ever since, I'll try to find some pictures.

Green (moly filled) or black (graphite) acetal/delrin is the usual culprit
