Also my experienceI asked for a price on our dog runabout,
they offered about half of what it would cost to buy anything similar, and then bombarded me with messages for the next month several times a day
or a match if its a fordThrow a deisel heater in it and you’ll triple it probably.
I sold my fathers CRV to Evans Halshaw after he died, much the same experience. Then sold my old pick up in a similar way to Vanbuyer from Liverpool, no hassle and a decent price, 3 k more than I was offered on a trade in at local dealers.I sold my X3 with Evans Halshaw earlier this year. They give an online value in much the same way as We Buy Any Car.
My mate in the trade said the price that Evans Halshaw was offering was insane. It was well over what he would retail it for! They must have made a mistake.
I took it to the valuation centre, fully expecting them to say something like “sorry we got it wrong”. The valuer looked over the car and then transferred the full money.
I walked away thinking that was a bit surreal.
Just for devilment, rather than a wish to sell, I wondered about putting the registration of my 1968 Triumph 2000 to see what their computer comes up with?
