With the ones I got you fit the seal first and apply a smidge of leccy grease, push the cable through and fit the crimp, then pull the cable back to locate the tabs.

The furthest back tabs on the connector pins are to secure the seal on a SuperSeal.

The wire / seal and pin should all slide in as one unit into the back of the housing until you feel the pin locate (snap) into place..

As you can see there's really a cat in hells chance if fitting two wires in correctly really.

Yep, no connector will be reliable if you're not using them correctly and they certainly won't fix bad wiring practices.

Exactly this. Cable routing is important, if you don’t use a drip loop for example or have the connector incorrectly positioned, water will eventually find its way into almost any connector.

First use of these connectors went well enough. It's the fuel pump connector for my old bike. I know it's scruffy (the bike) but it does have over 120k mles on it.

Finally one came in for lights flickering, one week over run with them failing then none for weeks.
So this is the rubbolite factory supplied plug and play hgv trailer loom, sidelights are daisy chained together, some are also indicators hence the three wires.

Those arent assembled correctly. Even the rubberlight version of the super/econoseal need the yellow seals in place. No wonder they are failing.

In Rubbolite's defence, they're not relying on the original seals for sealing/cable support. That should all be provided by their custom overmoulding, it's just that the overmoulding doesn't actually seal very well on to the connector housing.

I was pretty surprised to find bare metal connections to the pump, inside the fuel tank on my BMW bike.
However, nowhere on the bike has waterproof connections and even after 26 years and 100,000 miles there's no corrosion on any of them.

Never seen a sealed connector inside a petrol tank (other from where they pass through the pump hanger assy).

No need for one - the connections are immersed anyway.
