been meaning to post this for a long time. i built if for my design technology GCSE last year it was my first welding project an im really happy with it. took 5 weekends from start to finish. i had to build it at home because the schools insurance didn't cover me a 16 year old (at the time) teaching myself how to weld, that and there were no staff with relevant safety training certs.
it cost nearly £900 to build that includes all parts, materials and transport to get it to and from local powder coating and to school and back. i used a new 600L IBC tank i didn't want a used one (would have been much cheaper) because we use it for watering potted plants and filling water troughs for the horses. all the steel used was 50x50x4 steel box and a small length of 60x60x5 for the home made axle.
