Hi to All. This is my first post but if this forum is like other forums I belong to then I`m sure the contributors are both helpful and have a great deal of knowledge and experience they are kind enough to pass on.
My question is that I`ve a 1954 MGTF which I`m not sure what the existing paint used is. As the car has had extensive mechanical and interior restoration I assume the paint work has had attention too. Unfortunately I have no contact with previous owners having imported the car to the UK from Canada. The paint work requires attention due to localized "cracking" I suspect due to vibration or panel "flexing". As I obviously wish to avoid a complete bare metal respray and ideally would like to use a water based paint what tests or problems am I likely to meet. Thanks in anticipation.
