Much a hero for me, and I used to live with a dancer that had been an LA showgirl. We listened to the lyrics of Walk on the wild side, and she couldn't believe what he was saying. Interesting that it was not banned because the established broadcasters were not up to speed on slang. As in 'giving head'. We did laugh...

That was a smack head song.
I almost booted my radio in the first time I heard the cover version.
