Hi, I'm sorry I don't have a picture of what I'm talking about, I'll try to describe it.
So I needed a few flat pieces of 3mm mild steel, 4x20cm and 4x10cm. I had a piece of rectangular pipe so I proceeded to cut these pieces out of it using my angle grinder and a cutting disk (or what's the term...).
The pieces were warped, arched actually. The longer one (20cm) by something like 3-5mm!
Is there a simple answer (yes, I must be a total n00b) to this?
Heat from cutting? Tension in the metal itself (it being a rectangular pipe structure originally)?
Finally, how, are there methods to avoid this?
Thanks in advance
