Asking for a bloke in the off road club. I had a look at his old SiP HandyMIG 100, it's DOA. Well after a bit of prodding with the meter I've proved that the step-down transformer on the control PCB is deceased. It's got no markings on it so I can't easily obtain one from RS etc.
Anyone got a scrap SiP with a working PCB?
Or Mr Weldequipe, what's it going to set him back for a new un?
It's not a bad wee MIG, rather different to current SiP stuff, 4 diodes in the rectifier, solenoid gas valve and altogether better built than my own TurboMate 105, which is a lot newer.
