WANTED 1/2 X 16 cap head allen bolts

Wanted a supplier for 2 number, 7" long X 1/2" X 16 BSF cap headed allan bolts. Mild steel.

Any good leads for a supplier, I have tried several all to no avail.

Excellent response but both sadly NO, one doesnt even stock any BSF.

I have sat on the computer and tried well over 14 sites now.I need an old established company-- been in the warehouse for maybe 30 years and never thrown anything away, new stockists dont carry the Range let alone BSF, My supplier has an excellent choice up to 4", They got rid of long stuff moons ago to the scrap man. Just been there again this morning and they have tried to get them as well- or so they say. I can adapt 12mm by machining new parts but the locating holes are 1/2" and a 12mm rattles about a bit in those holes..-- and yes it will matter.

so not doing very well, Its off a Wisbeech front suspension unit, and they dont even stock any, even though they are the manufacturer, + its less than 10 Yr old.

so far no joy whatsoever from any supplier, I am now trying a couple of manufacturers.

My next thought !!!!! if I could get any 1/2" allen cap head imperial bolt, say 9" long, cut off the manufacturers thread and re thread it to 1/2 X 16 BSF.

IS THIS FEASIBLE???

Stan are you sure its BSF ??? I would be surprised in anyone designing something using a BSF thread in the last 20 odd years, You sure its not UNC ??? although that would be 13

1/2" X 16 tap goes in the hole no problem, and a die runs up no problem.The other side of the cone thingy is 1/2" X 20 UNF.--and believe it or not, the top piece in the pic is 12mm X 1.75. ( A previous owner has cut the long bolts to dissmantle!!)

Yes its one I tried, surprisingly they said they had no BSF at all in stock-- waiting shipment but only go to 3/8" X 2"anyway.

if you did away with the little cone ends could you not use normal HT bolts
and replace those little cones with some washers
might be easier to obtain than cap screws

Stan why can't you just drill out the threads and use a long bar through the whole lot ???
