Well that's all the gluing and trimming finished, quite time consuming but very rewarding, I'll clear coat them once its a bit warmer.
Used a chisel and sandpaper to get the old veneer off the aluminium backing pieces.
		
		
	
	
		 
	
		 
	
		 
	
		 
	
I softened and plattened the veneerr with 8:1 water and glycerin, very cheap from Boots.
		 
	
		 
	
		 
	
Once dry its ready for use.
		 
	
I glued all the pieces the same way, coated with Gorilla glue.
		 
	
Cling film to stop the pieces sticking to the clamping sheets.
		 
	
Then a lot of trimming and sanding.
		 
	
		 
	
		 
	
		 
	
Then the final large shaped piece.
