While the weather isn't great, I have been doing some tiling in the utility room. Bought the tiles nine years ago, and keep putting it off
But anyway, I have left a gap of 4mm between the tiles and the worktop which will need sealing with some mastic fantastic. I have always used silicone before, but it always seems to "let go" in places after a while, no matter do well I clean the surfaces, and then develop mould.
The all singing and dancing "prevents mould growth" sealers never seem to work after a year or so either, so I am wondering whether something like CT1 might be a better bet ?
Not had it, or similar products come unstuck yet. Only downside I can think of, is that as its an adhesive, if the worktop ever needs replacing, its going to make it somewhat difficult, and will end up pulling the tiles off the wall as well.
Of should I "stick" to silicone ?
