Wall mounting a 65" tv

Had a job to day wall mounting a 65" tv the wall was dot and dab with a 20mm ish gap between the blocks and plaster board, and the blocks were celcon ( for them who dont know light weight blocks that have the Constance of an aero bar and extremly soft )

so i used this to install some threaded bar in the blocks

Works very well went hard in about an hour will use it again

I've used similar stuff and it works well. If you do a lot of one off jobs then get the cartridge gun type so you don't need to use up a full tube. The resin and activator are separated until it reaches the mixing nozle so you can reuse a half full tube. Just buy extra nozles but you need a special gun rather than a standard silicone gun.

I did one for a mate and ended up using a chemical mix with some 8mm anchors and a bit of copper tube pushed into the wall to bridge the void where the gap was , It just meant the plaster board did not pull in as i tightened the fixing, Total pain.

Agree.. This is very important I used a 1 inch wooden dowel to do the same thing, it held a big crt telly up for years.

I believe you can buy blocked end plastic tubes with perforated holes for use in bridging breeze block type walls, or even if there is a through hole and you want to stop the resin seeping out or disappearing down the voids, you force some resin through the perforations so it can lock itself in place in porous or crumbly walls.

At least I think so, trying to remember the last time I used it, must be years ago, was good stuff.
