Well i droped my old bottle off at Cormeton fire protection but it needs testing, £46 for test and refil. Co2. £15 refil after that. Does this sound OK or have i been riped off. Im waiting for my Co2 Regulator to come together with adapter hase to connect it from small pipe to larger pipe so it fits the regulator. This gasles welding sucks.

Locally I've paid £20 deposit on the bottle which lets me keep it as long as I need and I get the deposit back when I return the bottle and I pay £20 for the gas. So as a new customer I'd pay £40 and walk away with a pub size bottle.
When I empty it I give them the empty back plus £20 and come away with a fresh full bottle. It lasts a couple of years with my useage though.
Since I'm gradually refreshing the bottle I should never need to worry about testing. I do wonder what they would say if the bottle's test date had passed when I take it back (they did check when I took the last one back). Worst case scenario I suppose is that I might not get the deposit back on the bottle and I have to start again. I'll probably avoid the question ever arising by taking the bottle back before the date expires and if it wastes some gas left in there so-be-it I'm not using it on an industrial scale and it's FAR cheaper than the disposables anyway.
