I dont have a problem with strip terminals or these new fangled springy things, the biggest problem is people using the wrong size for the type/amount of wires they are trying to connect

I was looking at those in SF earlier this week
£5 each.
If only they did USB ones (or they were as readily available).
I use a *lot* of USB double sockets!


Can't help feeling the one above needs another earth terminal, though: 2 for the ring connection, one for a radial, then one to earth the back box?

I agree, that's horrible, if anything, the earth is the one that needs the most slack and with these it's the opposite.

..... I use a lot of wago connectors when fault finding as using a connector with extra connection means you can stick your tester probes in it with.

The wagos all have a test port on them for a probe so you dont need to have an empty connector

Yeah but it’s handy to not have to hold in on, especially for measuring current.

Anyone used them? They're a bit over twice the price of the Hager sockets I bought last time, but I think I would find it handy having a terminal for each conductor, specially where you have three cables like a spur from a ring or a branch off a radial.

Yeah one group of Subbies we work with tried them on the last job...but all sparkies we work with dont rate MK anymore . Click seems to be the "go to" brand with the Edinburgh lot.

click scolmore is all i use for accessories .think i have had only a couple of switches and sockets go faulty in years of fitting and used thousands. easy to fit as well. just used 100 of there brushed chrome switches and sockets on one job

Was a time MK were good, they then went through a phase of making the terminal screws from cheese. Last time I used them they seemed to have cone right again.

Have though got one of their USB sockets where that side has died. Can only assume I'd been asking too much of it charging high draw items and running right at it's 2.1A rating?

Had a previous MK socket, charging off the USB port, warmed up an ANKER 10,000mAh power pack to the point it was smoking!
