Well the BNP have one or two sensible ideas. It's a shame they are all but obliterated by the racist and xenophobic rubbish they spout.

I think people will vote for them because they call a spade a spade unlike the usual politicians who just skirt around issues that need addressing.

We can all see the Country is in a mess with open borders depressing wages and job opportunities. Which main Party will tackle this head on and put us first.

True enough. The mainstream parties obviously hold us all in equal contempt, so this year, I will be breaking the habit of a lifetime and voting for a minority party. Not the BNP before our pet Marxist pops up to take another cheap shot though!

If the electorate were educated, the government of the day would be less likely to get away with nonsense like "Man-made global warming".

An educated electorate is very dangerous to politicians, they would rather everyone just believed the rubbish they spout in promotion of their latest taxation ideas.

I'm educated to degree level in electronics and C&G in motorvehicle engineering , B tech grasde 3 brick laying and Nebbs industrial security grade A + but dyslexia stops me knowing if I've written a thing well spell check does not always catch things.

Happen we need training in skills that the country needs not uni degrees that are not employuable.

The internet is comming of use to the nases .. depends if the poitiicans wil listen or go for splitting us down in to much smaller interst groups and pick us of one by one with esoteric legislation.

I worked for social services for oh my god, about 20 years. It should be called a digging implement, but then again does it want to dig? maybe, does it want to be labelled? maybe we should call it a bladed earth moving tool, but Ah! does the earth want to be moved?

Well, I am a true blue Conservative, but I think that Cameron is nothing more than Blair in a blue tie. I am also extremely distressed that he intends to re-legalise the tearing apart of small defenceless animals, so this year my vote goes UKIP.

Not 100% true. He's offered a free vote on the issue being as if he gets a majority at all it will be pretty minor the chances of such a thing getting through a pretty minor. The chances of him havings the balls to touch the issue with a small majority are even slimmer. If he ends up in a coalition or anything similar they're non-existant.

That is sound reasoning. Although I am aware that UKIP couldn't run a bath, it should, if enough people vote that way, send a signal to the three main parties that has to be noticed.

But what happens if 50,75 or 90% of the electorate decide that's a great idea and do the same - you don't send a message you elect a party that in your own words couldn't run a bath

Yes, you are quite right of course. However, I think it is realistic to believe that the chances are so low as to be insignificant. (I HOPE!)

Look at 90% of MP's and often the only thing that qualifies them to the role is the fact they are not qualified to do anything else

Seriously - if you can't find anything to do career wise it seems that politics is a nice little gravy train. (Oh and talking of gravy the largest employer in the UK is......... the civil service? - oh and who doesn't change with an election - the civil service......)

I wrote a letter to my local MP about a subject a while back - his reply showed he had absolutely no grasp of the subject matter - I'll not go as far as calling them thick but majority are pretty much the idiots missing from the villages. The villages don't want em back either

I'd prefer to see some "business driven people" running aspects of the country but who the heck would go for a position where you may get a career change and a big cut in pay every 5 years - so the lunatics continue to run the asylum

Do you not feel that can sometimes be a good thing? People who are not willing to accept the status quo and who want better things should be applauded in my opinion.

Sadly I believe that ambition is stamped on from an early age in today's society, leading to the situation we have now, with so many happy to believe that the state (ie you and I) owes them a living.

You obviously do understand it, but for those who consider it unimportant, let's offer a couple of examples:

1) What does the following sentence actually mean?
what is this thing called love

Does it mean,

a) What is this thing called, Love?
b) What is this thing called love?
c) What? Is this thing called love?
d) "What is this thing?" called Love.

Second example is double negatives. So common yet can say the opposite of what was intended....
