Send him and email last night and got a reply at 9am this morning saying the volkszone offer has been added to my account.
Nice tk see theres still some people that can get things done
Anyone know if theres a limit to how many bottles you can have in a year etc. As im sure there must be something in pkace to stop business users taking advantage
Just spoke to Jack on the phone and made in account in literally under a minute! Off out to the nearest BOC agent, 6 miles, to collect my Y size bottle shortly. He confirmed also that they have an offer on Y sized pure Argon bottles though I can't quite recall the price. I think all in it was around £90 maybe? Not sure but when he explained the discount compared to the normal pricing it was significant..
Anyway he seems to be able to sort things out quickly and with no hassle!
If I am reading my BOC invoice correctly the yearly rental for the Volkzone Argon deal is £64.80 rental and the gas charge £37.57 with no collection charge.
Just had an email from Jack, he is going to call me this morning. There is normally a collection charge? £14.40 plus the vat... But with this offer its free.
If you don't have any bottles from BOC it will be fairly straightforward, as I have cylinders there was some confusion over refunds, all in their favour of course!
I sent an email to Jack parris late yesterday afternoon, i currently have a y sized argoshield universal bottle, Got an email from him this morning, he has added my account to the deal and there is some discount on the Universal.
If i swop to Argoshield light which i was going to anyway the full discount applies. I can have an Argon as well. Happy days,
Someone buy the man a pint!
Worth noting; I had to return my Y size Argoshield Light to get a 7 month refund otherwise the offer would not start until my existing rental had expired. That went horribly wrong as they then refunded me at the Volkzone rate! Still need to collect the Argoshield but I'm going to stagger them by a month if I can as there's no collection charge.
I bought a rather knackered 150A MIG a few months ago and it came with a "free" bottle of gas. Of course, this ran out this morning.
I've looked at hobbyweld but figure the volkzone offer would suit me better.
So, before I jump in, what should I be buying for 150A MIG on old-fashioned steel? Argoshield, Argoshield-lite? Something else?
Thanks
Scott
Been speaking with Jack via email today, if anyone wants to upgrade their existing or new account to online access they can do so by dropping him a quick email or giving him a call - he is a genuinely helpful guy.
