Hi, can anyone help me understand these numbers as they don't seem to tally with what I see on the web when I Google the answer...
These are the specs off my 2015 1.6L Vivaro. Top down it is:
Permissable gross vehicle weight rating
Permissable combination weight
Max front axle load
Max rear axle load
What I'm trying to understand is how much I can tow if I get a towbar added. Some websites say that a Vivaro can only tow around 1.3 tonnes, but that doesn't seem to stack up with these numbers?
My Peugeot 307 estate is seemingly on its last legs, so I need to get a new (old) family car. Trying to weigh up if I should get something like a Volvo XC60 and tow with that, or tow with the van & just get a small family car for sake of a child seat & car naps.
Just for the sake of towing gates/railings to site or to the galv yard.
Cheers
