Hi boy's & Girls HOPE your all well !
Having a MAJOR Garage clear out & I have two of these Tig welders collecting dust!
So are they worth anything or only fit for the bin !

Aren't they just HF units to impose HF on top of welding current from another source?

As far as I know yes ! they do run from another source ! something like a oil cooled stick welder ?
just want to know if they are worth getting rid of or chuckin in the bin !

Certainly worth asking if anybody would be interested, there's bound to be someone who would like one.

How much they're worth really depends on the person buying.

I thought those HF tig add-on units were only for DC sources??? Probably wouldn't like being attached to an AC source.

If I was looking for something like this (which I'm not) I wouldn't want to pay more than 40 quid max for a dc only model, if it works on ac as well it maybe worth a bit more, but I would want to see it and try it working before I opened my wallet.

Thats only what I might consider paying, others might want to pay much less.

But being as I already have a tig unit with hf, I'm not in the market.

Also with the advent of scratch and lift start DC tig inverter units being so cheap and HF set for only a bit more these units have more or less became boat anchors

Thanks for the reply lads ! At least they are not a chuck it in the bin item ! Wouldn't want a lot of ££ as I have never used them nor had them tested ! were given to me yrs ago & have sat gathering dust ever since ! It's just I'm having a clear out & i have enough welders to cobble dogs with !
