Teas much too weak, that’s the issue .The horns used on these Dextas varied depending on vintage. This one is made by Clear Hooters Ltd. Sure i've been in a nightclub in Newcastle called that many years ago
No continuity between the two wires.
When i manually close the contacts the voltage drops off and pulls about 1.6 amps.
But it does nothing.
Are the windings goosed, is it worth taking apart?

unless I'm reading that voltmeter wrong ( for the scale - Hi / lo), it's only getting 2 or 3 volts instead of 12V?Is the disc wound down too far, stopping any movement? 1.6A sounds about right and the winding doesn't look to be cooked.
Bingo! Thank youHi, They do need a good supply, your 3A power supply may not be enough. Try it on a car battery.
