Never heard of them before but I read the blurb on the ad and it sounds like you got a bargain. Watch your sleeves though if you change the tooling while its still revolving!I know vaguely what they do but I'm not entirely sure, could someone explain please?

That's what I thought, perhaps that's why they never became a common item!

. They're pretty much useless on my mill with such little room between the table and spindle but they might be nice on a big pillar drill, I just couldn't say no for the price

Could have been a lot worse.). Then you have to hold the tool in the chuck while you slide the collar back down, but as soon as you move the collar, the tool will spin so you've got to hold it in place (I used a hammer) as you do so.
