This is the vice they have at a garage i do work at,been in use for years,had the carp beaten out of it since new,guess who broke it.....NO,not me,the boss
The jaw screws are gone no where to been seen,boss said "was gonna mig it",but thought no,ask me
My thoughts are carbon to cast steel, i have two options 1 braze it back together OR i have some SS rods
I fancy the braze root, but as for strength,ones not so sure

Used these on a sort of cast jobby last year and as far as i know its still holding
So whats the answer from you knowledgeable lot?
BTW it dont have to look pretty just do its job
