I've been trying to think of anybody in the UK who might know about this now, but I can't think of a single UK based manufacturer of aluminium frames with standard tubing.

Orange only make their folded sheet bikes in the UK. Normal tubed ones are Taiwan made.
Pace no longer do bike frames, and were bought out by DT Swiss a good few years ago now.
And I can't think of a single small maker who uses alu, as Steel is the current niche must have.

I have a friend who owns a company manufacturing bespoke aluminium mountain bikes.
I believe they all have a painted finish though. What are you trying to find out?

Hmmm, odd. He is a friend of mine. I was with him on Monday talking about aluminium frames, Reynolds frames, welding etc.

I admit bicycles aren't my thing, maybe I was getting him confused
