thats just air impact
u need the inductor then heat produced but elctro magnetic field
No I dont have any detail, hence the original post .. there was no mention of an air hammer or anything violent.
The service was a man in a van turning up to avoid snapping the offending potentially stuck item. My immediate thought was ultrasonic but that is just my mind not any real information.
On the basis that the breaking the stuck item meant engine out / body off to fix, the high cost of this mobile service was deemed worth it.
I was hoping someone here might have heard of it as it sounds interesting.
Would be interesting if ever you do find the answer you want.
I know there are 'mans in vans' who can remove snapped glow plugs when people have had a go at DIY removal, no idea how they manage it without removing the head but I suppose it's in their interests to keep very quiet about their methods.
for normal bolts what you would need is a very shallow hex socket with a blind hole but that will not work for heater plugs unless you cut off the excess.
Yes that is exactly what I was trying to explain but heater plugs would have to be cut off at the hex to allow this to happen. The vibro tool from Snap On I showed uses deep impact sockets but the hex cutout is very shallow. This means it goes far enough onto the nut/glow plug etc to give grip to turn it but stops short of the end so that the impact goes into the fastener.
