Thanks for all the advice! It's super useful from you all.As above but use a hairdryer or boiling water on a rag to warm the rubber first, easier to move when they're softer.
Medium flat blade screwdriver - old and blunt normally works for me.
Which model VFR, and do you know anywhere to sell a project bike or parts / links to any VFR forums? (I've got one at the back of the garage that's doing no good where it is )
Hi all,
I'm replacing the radiator on the vfr after springing a leak. I need to remove the old gromits to use on the new radiator, and to remove the plastic part underneath them.
Anyone got any bright ideas on how to compress them back through the hole? I did try a hose clip but it keep popping off

Exactly thatWe've replaced a few VFR radiators now, did it fail at one of the hose joints?.
They seem to collect water around the coolant pipe and rot from the outside in..
