very very green at this need help

hi people,

ive just brought myself a Clark weld mig 300 turbo, i only have a little know how from back in my school days, well that aside i have no idea how this thing works yet it seems to have an air or water line im not sure and has no plug? but 4 very large wires of which i do not know wot plug to get for it yet, as ive only ever put 3 wired plugs together, and im still hunting for a gun of which is very hard to find, dos anyone have a manual lol

please help me

sounds like you have bought a 3 phase 415volt welder ......looking at clarke in machine mart their 270amp is 3 phase......did you see it working? did you buy from someone who had 3 phase /industrial unit?

As Gav says, it will be 3 phase. The hose will be for the shielding gas.

It would probably have a euro torch fitting to take a torch like this

The current 270amp ,is equiped with a euro torch ,shouldn't be a problem ,if you don't have 415 volts where it is to be used you have a problem ,as it is industrial ,most diyers wouldn't be interested ......

yer it was a big workshop and its in almost new conditon, and wot ive got to say too the for the 415 volts is dam dam dam dow dow dow grrrrr
all i needed was a welder that can proper fix half inch steel together

best bet is sell it on if u can and buy a single phase machine. a phase converter with step up transformer to run anything like is megga £

Sadly, unless a garage on an industrial unit wants it, you will have to sell it on Ebay again.

Why not talk to a local trade welding supplies company, they may be able to trade it in for you for something more suitable, or most likely will have a trade customer who is looking for a pro machine. if you buy from them you will get some backup and good advice, and a place to buy your consumables.
