very first welds

after looking over the tutorials countless times and using the calculater i thought i would have a go at my first welds and need advice as to whether im going in the right direction

doesnt look like im getting proper penetration

the blow holes are where i held torch a bit too long and unfortunately im using a migmate 100 with argon mix disposable bottle so some advice would be nice

Hard to see from those picts. Looks a bit porous, may need more gas flow.

You might try upping the power a bit and moving faster.

I'd say a touch more power, and more gas flow. If the holes are appearing at the end of the run, try to keep the gas flowing for a second as you release the trigger (release it enough for the power to stop but not fully to keep the gas flowing, then release fully).

That only works if the torch has a gas valve built in, it won't work on a 'normal' torch as the trigger only operates a switch.
