I would have the same problem with a vertical plate ..its the mounting it does not have from what I can see.why?? the jobs been done for you
why do you need to move it when it moves on the vertical plane..i thought he needed a square mount..think its bedtime for me hereyep but u cant move an angle plate up and down its fixed thats why u use a vertical slide

probably be to high and a lot of overhang it wants mounting on the cross slide not topslidemount the angle plate were the tool post goes and mount the vertical slide to the angle plate...that gives you the vertical slide a square angle face to the chuck
To hard mate. lol
I am going to make a metal bender using multiple sized blocks. (I now know I can use my 4 jaw)
I have a vertical slide with a 90 degree mount but unlike my Raglan 5 inch I dont have a slotted cross slide.
drill and tap the cross slide
I am guessing you think I have a flat mount slide, which I guess would not be a vertical slide but a flat slide or milling vice I guess we have best ask @Makerwhy do you need to move it when it moves on the vertical plane..i thought he needed a square mount..think its bedtime for me here
scary...I could have but Paul never sold the mag drills. (Tongue in cheek) loldrill and tap the cross slide
