Vertical mig open root

    Hey all ran out of work today so thought I practice some skills I don't use one week to the next mig welded short circuit open root 3mm open gas cut bevels 19 volts unsure of amps didn't look to be honest
    I think it's okish I am very rusty with position on mig
    1st root
    2nd back of root
    3rd hot pass/ fill pass
    4th caps
    Oh 1.2 mm wire Lincoln supra wire

    Not bad -- welder coming through! Ok so a little wire hanging out the back--too high on the wire but quite consistent pen-- try sticking to the prep a little more. 2nd pass good pattern but a little cold . Cap looks ok the heat is there now or you weren't stepping to high. Well done good effort.

    I'll try upping the heat when I get a little free time supposed to have some work tomorrow hopefully

    You would probably find it easier with 1mm wire, hard to get a decent looking vertical with 1.2mm.
