Vertical Bandsaw

I want a more accurate (and quieter) way of cutting tube, I dont really want a chop saw due to noise and mess.
A power hacksaw or horizontal bandsaw would be the ideal, (i think), though it seems there is more choice new and secondhand with a vertical bandsaw, the main disadvantage i can see is the throat of the vertical bandsaw limits the length that can be cut, but just for chopping up bends and angles it should be fine. Any other reasons why a vertical bandsaw wont suffice.

I've tried a couple of vertical saws, they were primarily designed for wood though and while they were ok for ally they were way too quick for steel so that's something to watch out for. The throat size is a big issue as well and i'd almost guarantee it'll cause you problems.

Good points, i didnt even give the speed a thought, any ideas what sort of speed would be good?? (i will have google in a min so not being completely lazy)..Thanks so far.

Just had a very quick google, wood cutting bandsaw = 700m/min, metal cutting bandsaw = 100m/min.
Think that answers my original question.
