How do you shut the ventilation flap?
New house can’t work windows!

i believe on that type the handle closes the ventalation flap

as the handle has 2 parts to it first pull is ventilation as it has click down on the handle, second pull opens the window

Push handle to the stop..As Gaz1 has stated it has a 2 stage operation,it feels like your going to break the handle but don't worry you wont

We had a velox put in for our loft conversion 6 years ago.It was only this year when we had some put in an extension that I realised the first click was ventilation.

We have similar Velux Windows in our extension roof. We use a window pole and yes, it feels like you will pull the handle bar off. Haven't so far though. I didn't realise the first click is ventilation lol.

Ime a man and i do roofs...you need to start working the handle fully or one day you will break it as they get stiff with no activity...

dont they just

bit of advice the ratchet point is where the window is so above the window the handle tilts down and then pull again where its roughly level will open it

once open you can spin them and lock them open or if bolt is at back bolt it open
