That sounds like a damaged torch liner causing a feeding problem.when i hold the gun under different ange the wire jams and the rollers are slipping.
When I move welding gun the wire breaks free.
Have you got the correct size brass guide tube in from the end of the rollers through the hole to just where it enters the torch liner with the nut?Have you got the rollers set for the size of wire you're using and is the roller tension set properly?
Then I think it's not the motor itself but something in either the motor drive gear or wire feed assembly is slipping. You need to isolate power and remove torch and get in at the wire feeder unit. Is it 2 gear or 4 gear. 2 gear probably?yes the tension is set. and also the brass guide tube is mounted wher it should be.
Sorry but too the non -pro rollers slipping could just mean that the wire stops feeding in there and the motor still turns, he might not distinguish whether the rollers are actually turning. There is a drive key on the motor shaft that drives the whole feeder mechanism I just wanted him to be sure he Was getting a basic drive through the entire.mechanismIf the rollers are slipping it can't be the motor or the gears
Is the wire sitting in the groove on the roller OK? Is the spool free enough to rotate without overspill? Have you just fitted a new reel of wire by any chance?
I'd be tempted to fit another liner anyway, a decent steel one. If the current one is Ok it can be kept in stock.
What about the swan neck liner & tip.
Increase the tension on the rollers until you get a bird's nest and then back it off a bit.
It might be new, but that doesn't mean the liner doesn't have a kink in it that is pinching the wire when you angle the torch. There are different bore liners too - too big and the wire can bunch, too small and it could bind...
With my vast experience of two euro torches, do any of them have swan neck sub liners?
Still think it could be a liner problem pal as I said in second post. Or as pdg says wrong size. If its blue it's 0.8mm to 1.00mm or red 1mm - 2mm I am sure hence worth confirming your wire size and compatibilitynew torch is 3m long as previous.
"pdg" can you explain what is swan neck sub line?
