I bought a big job-lot of chisels and files this week, and the familiar names have cropped up like Marples, Berg, Stubbs and Chas Taylor, but two are by a company called E. Linley & Co, and I can't find any info on them. The chisels themselves are really nice - definitely on par with the others. Their logo looks like a man with a horse or a sheep - immediately made me think of Tyzack but that is a mounted horseman (Tyzack also had the three legs). The reverse reads 'Cast Steel England' but no city is given. With the age I'd expect to see a presence of them online but so far nothing, only this, but it seems much too early. 19c steel isn't as fine as they are:

Anyone have any info, or have any other makers that are difficult to find? I've certainly got a few more but I can't remember them off hand, will have to go out to the workshop.
