Value of oil cooled oxfords

i have 2, possibly 3 that really should go to new homes and get the love they deserve... Any suggestions on what they're worth?

Do a search on the bay for similar completed items

I've done that and seen some end with no bids, some go for decent money. I guess that is due to distance from potential buyers?

Anything from £30 for a scruffy working one to £150 for an immaculate one sold to someone who has been searching for that style of machine.

Useful things to have tucked into a corner but worth half a day traveling and a diesel bill to collect plus a purchase price worth thinking of??
Find a nice one close to home for a in decent condition fair enough it could be worth the higher prices suggested

I think at the last count I have 2 oxford/pickhill and an english electric oil cooled (which won't be for sale)... Nobody needs 3 oil cooled stick machines! At the last count:

Tig inverter
Mig/Tig/Stick inverter
Mighty midget
English electric

4 stick welders not counting the oxford/pickhill units

Need and want have exactly what in common? You'll be saying no-one needs more than two vices next.

sometimes they dont sell .some times the skys the limit just depends on who wants them and are they available at the time if your in no rush then can be had real cheap

I paid £60 for a 110 RT and very pleased with it.
If you put in the description that it will be fully demonstrated to be in good working order on collection, and do so it should fetch a better price.
If it can't be shown to be in working order then it is worth scrap value know matter how good it looks.

I was given a non working one for free, he was delighted I was going to try and fix it as he had had it for 30 odd years!
Took it to work and 10 mins later it was working, could do with new cables though.
The problem is they are a fantastic machine but not very compact or portable.
I feel they are worth £30-60 each, but some times its nice to give one to some on who is going to use it, why not raffle one????

I would re-wire them, video them on test and link the video into the eBay add, that's just the right thing to do.

My Pickhill Bantam 180 was £60 on a sack truck type trolley.
Nice and clean inside, not as clean outside!

I bought an oxford bantam for £70, the leads were worn so the seller, who is a friend of a friend, threw some suitable cables in plus loads of electrodes. Haven't had a chance to use it properly yet but suffice to say I will be getting burried with it!

When I was searching for mine, one in mint condition was £150 give or take.

I need to sort a trolley out for it and change the oil.

Thats the one.they can be wired to get 230v in 400v out
