I can't tell for sure, but the box hanging down from the fuel tank, on the right side over the engine might just be an idler circuit.
So the fuel usage would be reduced.

In the 1930s, there were still many farms in Olmsted County that didn't have electricity. Whether making repairs to equipment or needing something to be fabricated, it meant hauling items to the nearest welding shop or blacksmith.

I would have to say yes.

I'm getting sick and tired of reading "Fake, AI" comments that people posting a picture are treated to. And I'm equally sick of reading/hearing about AI, to the point where my happy place is being in my workshop on my wood lathe, doing the same thing that generations of wood turners have done before me, albeit with the convenience of electricity.

I see them for sale all the time fitted with all kinds of engines or the "Tracta Pac" PTO version. It seems like every farm must have one. There were a few competitors like the one I have but the Lincolns are by far the most common.
